Tareia Williams is Director of Communications, Turner Sports, with wide-ranging responsibilities including direct oversight of the division's digital and social communications disciplines. She leads PR campaigns for Turner's award-winning suite of digital products -- including NCAA March Madness Live and PGA Championship Live -- along with Turner's move into the direct-to-consumer space and the unveil of B/R Live as the Company's premium live streaming destination. Additionally, Tareia leads PR efforts supporting all live events including the NBA Awards on TNT and the annual NCAA March Madness Music Festival.
Tareia works diligently within the sports industry and the community. She was named to RollingOut Magazine’s 2015 list of Top 25 Women in Atlanta. She is the founder of PoweR, an intensive bootcamp that allows current PR students at Clark Atlanta an opportunity to develop and execute real public relations campaigns while also building relationships with current PR professionals as they start their transition into the real world. Additionally, she serves on the sports task force of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) as Vice President of Social and is a member of National Association of Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC). She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
Tareia earned her bachelor of arts degree in mass media communications with a concentration in public relations from Clark Atlanta University (CAU). (Return to Core Board Members Page)
